Running An Alliance Has Run Its Course
GGTTYLGLHFKTHXBYE

Alrighty then. What seemed like a great idea at first never really got off the ground. (...And given the right circumstances it could've been great, make no mistake!) For whatever reason(s), the time for We Farm Your [ECTOs] having its own alliance has just about come to an end.

I'd say, "give us an 'A' for effort!", but really there wasn't much effort put in overall, save for a few people here and there. Probably shouldn't have bothered with that kind of a turnout. Who needs to run an alliance anyways? At this stage of the game it will be easier to find an alliance that needs two guilds - ie. [ECTOs] and [Hush] - rather than finding eight contributable guilds who need an alliance. Right now [ECTOs] needs to focus most of its efforts on replenishing its roster instead of finding guilds. Time to move on.

Over the next few days, all of the [ECTOs] Alliance-related thematic content will be removed from the forums and they will be turned back into [ECTOs]-[Hush] forums. That's right - [Hush] still has a home here, and they are welcome as long as they wish to stay.

So... GET LOOKING FOR AN ALLIANCE, PEOPLE! Make sure any potential new alliance is willing to take two guilds in, [ECTOs] and [Hush]. Package deal or NO deal.

I'm assuming this is the majority opinion at this point based on the feedback I've heard over the past few days. If there are significant complaints to going this route, speak up quickly. I'll wait around 24 hours before starting to remove all of the Alliance-related forum stuffs.

Id like to stress my opinion here that we should atleast consider the offer of GEMS, seems to be what we need...

I don't understand why your alliance didn't work out. An alliance is guilds working together, not guilds following one guild. ;\

There were three main reasons why it didn't work out:

1. Most people thought having our own alliance was a better idea before we started one than after we did. Unanimous vote to start one, less-than-unanimous effort at constructing one.

2. Guru's Alliance Recruitment forum is inactive compared to the standard PvE Recruitment forum. We had a hard time finding guilds who were interested at all, let alone interested guilds who met our admittedly too-high standards. Without ANet doing anything about Shadow Form (ie. to shake up the PvE farming meta) or adding anything else of substance pretty much since the April Content Update, the game is starting to lose a LOT of steam lately.

3. Last week one of our Officers ragequit the guild and manipulated/stole about 1/2 of our active players. Our numbers at the moment are lower than they've been since early summer (still around 65-70 members on the roster, give or take, but our amount of in-game activity is pretty low) so we need to worry about remedying that moreso than the alliance thing. Keep in mind, I say "low" in comparison to the level this guild was at just a week or two ago. We were easily one of the best guilds in PvE until this shit occurred. (It's still alright by most standards, though.)

It will take a short while, but eventually we'll replace those who left. The beat marches on, with them or without them. This guild was around long before they were. Steve as guild leader could've been a wonderful thing. Too fucking bad Steve was the only one who thought that, and people had to go and start a goddamn shitstorm over it. Evil or Very Mad

GEMS knows who Hush is. So do many other guilds. We will obviously talk over vent about possibilities. And Goddess your comment is true, to ECTOs and GEMS, but not to other guilds. PaiN and Luck wanted to join GEMS with us as head, along with [Rise] and some name I can't type because its in korean like your tag. Tide you have our vent info, gimme a little forum pm and maybe we can all schedule sumtin

Pain and Luck sound familiar to me. Were they with Gin's alliance previously?

I hate to burst your bubble, and don't quote me on this really, but this is the vibe I'm getting from basically everyone I talk to about this. We're probably gonna be looking for an established alliance that needs 2 guilds. I don't think many people want to join an alliance that's just forming.

Like I said, don't quote me, but that's the vibe I'm getting.

Eh, I'm alright with joining a brand new alliance. Seems most (allianced) are pretty hard core into the "WHAT WE WANT TO DO ALL THE TIME AND IF YOU DON'T SCREW YOU" mentality. A new alliance starting with several established guilds may be the way to go. I honestly thought we should have scouted some alliances for other guilds before creating our own alliance, but, whatever.

I think my friend was in your guild for a bit. I can't remember though, since he left LoD he's been a major guild hopper.

Just because you have 6 guilds does not mean you're an established alliance. It means you just got 6 guilds in your alliance within the past week and a half of you trying to join OUR alliance. =\

Unless you were deciding to completely disband an alliance to join ours... Neutral

You'll have to wait for our respective Guild Leaders to get on and talk about it. There's nothing we can do at the moment.

With all do respect to Luck and Pain I'm gonna half (have for graz) to decline for Hush. You have still yet to contact me either on the forums or in game. I'm not gonna join an alliance where the GLs of it can't be bothered to personally contact me or any of my officers. Thanks for the invite but, no thanks.

You know, I could have been just as rude to you as you are being to her. In fact:

Don't you mean to put a question mark at the end, not a period, or are you attempting to order us to join your alliance?
Oh, and BS'n isn't really a word.

It's good to know that my instincts have shown once again that they are right. You seem very arrogant. You are raging at Srinn for declining because of legit reasons. It's not what we're looking in an alliance leader (actual leader or the guild itself). That is also something we've removed ourselves from before, and I think we'd just be wasting our time and yours by joining. This, of course, is my own opinion, not the opinion of the guild itself, but that's my two cents.

Ty for the comment on storage. ad just saying, the "." button happens to be next to the "/" button on the keyboard. If I seem arrogant I dont mean to be. And yes BS'n isn't a word, but its somethin that I use.

You have our response regarding the alliance. Wanna leave us alone? Acting like a 12 year old and being proud of being a nuisance ain't going to help much.
