Thanks. Smile Forgot to mention this earlier today when I uploaded the new navbar buttons. In a few days I'll get around to making similar styles for the New Topic and Post Reply buttons, and maybe the smaller post and profile buttons.

Here are the three styles of buttons:

Most buttons are white-gray gradient. The 'Register' and 'Login' buttons are gold gradient, and the 'New PM' is gold gradient with a gold gradient border. The gold gradients ones are designed to stand out and catch your eye. I stuck with two color schemes instead of the rainbow-flavored colors Reave originally went with on the original navbar font. Wink

The font is 'Impact', one of those readily-available free fonts. I've used it here before on some of the contest awards winner shots and other random images.

EDIT: Split this out because this forum could use more threads.

Maybe. It's a little hard on the eyes though, so it's a little harder to read than the ones in place now. I like em, that's my only problem with them. Smile

It's the same deal as with the Navbar button replacements: the font is a bit bigger and brighter than Reave's old buttons (which everyone had gotten used to) so it stands out a bit more. It looks more vivid. The new Navbar was a bit bright at first compared to Reave's Navbar buttons, but now I'm used to it. Same will happen with these buttons after you get used to them. I had to add the ecto in there so they wouldn't blend in too much with the Navbar itself, since I didn't plan on using other colors like Reave did.

Reave's buttons were simple colored text on dark background so they were easier on the eyes by default.

Removed Rounding Of The Text:

What about the set there where I removed the rounding effect I had on the text? I didn't even realize it was still on until I opened up the .psd file. (Meant to remove that before.) Is that easier on the eyes?

EDIT: I think they are a bit easier to read, so I'm going to change to them.

EDIT2: Done.

Yes, definitely more prominent. I like the bottom ones better and they are easier. I guess sometimes that effect ISN'T as good as you think it looks? XD

My only complaint with the buttons is that the ecto and locked ecto icons in the middle are a few pixels too big. They're actually bigger than the ecto icons used for the main forums categories (40x40 vs. 35x35), which doesn't sit too well with me. I do like that size and may upsize the category ecto markers from 35x35 to 40x40, but in no way is that size going to stick for the buttons themselves.

Once I get Win7 installed and PS back up and running I'll see to adjusting the sizes. As for everything else on the buttons (font, look, etc.), I think they are great and fit well with the overall forums theme.
